Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Food Packaging) – Nights
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (PE7)
Salary: £53,700 per annum + excellent benefits
Shift Pattern: Nights (4 on, 4 off) 6 till 6 shifts
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a rapidly growing business in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, at their cutting-edge, chilled food production facility. This site is currently undergoing a significant transition towards increased automation, and as a crucial member of the Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring this transition is a success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Work on a wide range of equipment including conveyors, heat sealers, netting machines, flow wrapping machines, and coding & labeling machines.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with the Production Teams to share technical knowledge and collaborate on improving machine efficiency.
- Support Automation: Help drive the transition towards automation, assisting Technical/Machine Operators in contributing to the performance of production lines and reducing downtime.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and address equipment issues swiftly to ensure minimal disruption to production.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work on complex machinery including conveyors, heat sealers, and flow wrapping systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with Production Teams and other departments.
