As an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, Shield Fire & Security Services is seeking a full-time multi-disciplined service engineer for Fire Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Intruder Alarms to work the M4 Corridor (Reading – Slough area). Main Duties: The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in service and maintenance work, demonstrating competence across the following disciplines: Intruder Alarms CCTV Systems Access Control Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Efficient and effective work practices Comprehensive understanding of the Fire and Security industry Proficient in fault finding and security systems repair Installation of small-scale works Adaptability to new and unexpected environments and tasks Positive approach towards all assigned responsibilities This permanent role includes the provision of a company phone, tablet, laptop, fuel card, vehicle and competitive rates of pay. Qualifications and Experience: Extensive and proven experience in the Fire and Security industry Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously Minimum of 4 years relevant experience Valid IPAF, ECS, and CSCS card (desirable) FIA and manufacturer training (desirable) Other Qualities and Requirements: Demonstrate flexibility in working hours Be willing to travel and work away from home when necessary Commit to a call-out rota for national contracts Hold a full driving licence and clear DBS check
