52,605 inc shift premium Join a leader in the manufacturing industry. We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to enhance our client's Engineering Maintenance team. This role is crucial for developing long-term reliable solutions and supporting various upgrade projects aimed at optimising equipment utilisation and efficiency.

Day-to-Day of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role:

Assist the Engineering Manager in creating a high-performing team with the goal of achieving zero breakdowns and eliminating machine setup issues. Perform planned maintenance tasks autonomously to maximise machinery uptime and minimise disruption to production targets. Support reactive maintenance tasks proactively, liaising with the Engineering Manager to ensure minimal production downtime. Work on electrical installations up to 400V, process safety circuits, and electrical control circuits (PLC & VSD), adhering to health and safety standards. Assist in creating and reviewing risk assessments, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), One-Point Lessons (OPLs), and Preventative Maintenance Schedules. Conduct effective fault diagnosis using both mechanical and electrical root cause analysis to identify problems and determine solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally within fresh produce or FMCG. Formal Qualification in Engineering (electrical biased) with significant experience in both Electrical and Mechanical fields. Proven ability to apply engineering knowledge and skills to perform root cause analysis. Good IT skills for producing well-presented documentation and reports. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various departments.
