Compass Point Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our fantastic client. In this key role, you will ensure the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of plant equipment by performing planned maintenance, installations, breakdown repairs, and small projects.
Responsibilities
Respond to engineering breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime. Plan and execute preventive maintenance tasks using the CMMS system. Communicate with the Engineering Team Leader and Maintenance Manager to prioritize tasks effectively. Maintain and update CMMS records for breakdowns, tasks, and spare part requirements. Participate in the call-out rota for out-of-hours breakdown support. Conduct routine repairs, plant modifications, and lubrication activities. Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including: PLCs, motor systems, and inverters. Pumps, actuators, conveyors, and elevators. Welding repairs on plant equipment. Maintain high housekeeping standards in the workshop and production areas.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven engineering background with extensive electrical and mechanical experience (essential). Level 3 Electrical & Mechanical qualifications, including 18th Edition (desirable). Additional trade certifications (desirable): IPAF, PASMA, Forklift, Site Safety Passport, Confined Space Training.
