Job Description
We are looking for a metal finisher whose main function will be to improve the look/surface finish of components as required. This will be a hands-on role where you will be using a range of manual machines to remove defects in the surface of parts. This role requires knowledge and skills of using abrasives to attain a suitable surface preparation for a full mirror finish. Other surface finishes on parts are also required, such as brushed. Day to Day Responsibilities
Polishing of Brass, Aluminium, and Stainless-steel components to clean finishes. Use various manual polishing machines/spindles. Running a tube centreless machine to achieve a suitable surface finish. Liaise with the machine shop manager to ensure jobs are completed on time. Clean work area and equipment as required. Remove dents and scratches as required. Ability to use abrasives belts/machines as per requirements of components. Required Skills and Experience
Minimum experience of 2 years in a suitable polishing role. Experience inspecting products with a keen eye for detail. Experience inspecting production. Experience of the polishing process for evaluation and improvement. Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the company. Be able to work under their own initiative. Follow the component specification as required. Job Type:

37 per week Monday to Friday days.
