Northfleet, Kent, United Kingdom PrepWorld is a busy Fresh Cut Fruit Packing Factory looking for a
Multiskilled Engineer on Day Shift. Working as part of a team, the Multiskilled Engineers are responsible for fault finding and repair a range of electrical and food manufacturing equipment including building, fabrication, maintenance, and fitting of new parts. Responsibilities:
Carrying out routine scheduled fabrication and maintenance work. Diagnosing breakdown problems. Training and guidance of Machine Operators including equipment care. Repairing of equipment including fabrication repairs in the factory. Fitting new parts. Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns. Undertaking scheduled maintenance and PPM. Supporting the Site Services Manager for equipment, maintenance resources, and correcting existing discrepancies. Examining or carrying out tasks on broken parts and identifying defective parts or giving recommendations on repair requirements. Application of lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment. Putting machine parts together correctly after accomplishing maintenance and repair work. Responding in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by other departments and team members according to the company process. Reporting all potential accidents and ensuring that any accidents are recorded in the appropriate place and in line with company procedures. Supporting the Hygiene team on the dismantling and replacing of machine parts or equipment during the cleaning window. Conducting pre-production machinery and equipment start-ups. The role involves manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis. The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of forklifts and moving machinery. Who we are looking for:
Experience as a Multiskilled Engineer in Food Production or manufacturing is highly desirable. Practical experience as a Multiskilled Engineer is
essential . Mechanical
and
Electrical NVQ L3 and above is
essential . HNC/HND in either mechanical or electrical is highly desirable. Fabrication and welding skills are highly desirable. Good 50/50 Mechanical and Electrical bias both in experience and qualifications. What we provide in return:
