Our client seeks a Multiskilled Engineer with a focus on electrical engineering to join their professional, intuitive, and genuinely forward-thinking engineering business that has a focus on delivering excellent solutions-driven service for long-term client relationships and continued growth.

Due to being awarded a new contract, our client now finds themselves needing to mobilise a small team to undertake regular PPM checks of several sites across Norfolk and undertake reactive repairs as required. The ideal candidate will maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems and equipment to ensure they operate at optimal levels.

You will work closely with the maintenance and operations teams to perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. You will also be required to use related skills (mechanical, carpentry, and any other skills you may possess) to assist with the completion of these tasks.

This role comes with highly flexible hours and autonomous working responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine electrical systems, equipment, and components inspections to identify hazards, defects, or repair needs. Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments. Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications as required. Maintain and repair electrical systems, including motors, lighting, control systems, and wiring. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other maintenance staff to resolve mechanical and technical issues. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Multiskilled Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role. NVQ level 3 and above. 18th edition electrical (Desirable). Testing and inspection (Desirable). Competent in both single-phase and 3 phase installations. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Mechanical, carpentry, and other beneficial skills.
