A recognised engineering qualification in mechanical engineering to a level of City and Guilds level 3/ NVQ level 3 Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Mechanical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical Strong mechanical skills to repair machinery to keep downtime to a minimum Excellent mechanical fault finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes Some electrical experience would be beneficial Ideally experience working a buddy system with an Electrical Engineer Good communication, organisational and teamwork skills Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
