Multiskilled Shift Engineer The primary purpose of the role is to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance and to ensure the availability of production equipment 24/7, whilst always striving for opportunities to deliver enhanced plant improvements through innovative ideas and modifications. Perform scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on production equipment or site services. Diagnose causes of, and repair equipment breakdowns. Focusing on a “First Time Fix” methodology. Record equipment history on engineering computer system and complete quality system documentation as required. Provide detailed handovers to engineering colleagues. Ensure procedures, health and safety requirements are always followed to maintain compliance. To assist in managing contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety policies and site procedures. Deliver greater plant reliability through effective engineering practices, always aiming for sustainable greater uptime and reliability of plant and equipment through all/any engineering activities carried out. Carry out process improvements using own initiative, or as part of a team, to support efforts to improve equipment reliability. Keep abreast of the current regulatory requirements within your own area of expertise. Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Proven background within a Production maintenance environment with an Electric/mechanical biased (Multi skilled). IT literate with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel/spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Open to change, with a proactive approach and a passionate attitude to success, being results orientated and focused on continuous improvement. Able to influence/collaborate at differing levels within the organization. A result orientated individual with adherence to high standards and continuous improvement. Analytical thinker able to critically assess requirements and select ‘best fit’ approach. Always act in a professional and competent manner, adhering to the highest standards.
