We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Multisports Head Coach with a passion for sport for development to lead our new programme at Ark Ayrton Primary Academy & Ark Dickens Primary Academy in Portsmouth. The role will be split across the two sites and include planning and delivering a comprehensive high-quality coaching and mentoring programme. The programme will include significant PE curriculum delivery and a mixture of extra-curricular sessions including breakfast, lunch and after-school sessions, one to one or small groups sessions (where agreed with the school) and regular competitive opportunities. You will also be required to deliver half term and holiday camps during the school holidays. As a coach, you will also work closely with the Impact Team to collect high-quality data to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we do and to quantify the difference we make to our young people. Data is collected at designated times throughout the year and includes case studies, questionnaires, skills, and fitness testing. Our coaches also regularly review the young people's progress and set targets for their future development. To be considered for this role, you must hold a minimum of NGB Level 2 (or equivalent) coaching qualification and have experience of successfully delivering and managing top-quality multi-sports coaching programmes for young people in a school, community, or sports club setting. You will also demonstrate strong mentoring skills and experience, as well as being a confident and capable IT user with excellent administrative and organisational skills which will be needed to effectively plan and manage the programme and capture all relevant data in a timely manner.
