Role Overview

Elenjical Solutions is seeking a Murex Back Office & Collateral Consultant to implement and support client solutions. This client-facing role focuses primarily on Post-Trade Processing, Settlements, Confirmations, and Collateral Management functionalities within Murex. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience configuring and supporting Murex Back Office modules.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and configure Murex Back Office modules including Settlements, Confirmations, Static Data, and Collateral Management
  • Design and optimize post-trade processing workflows for clients
  • Configure and maintain collateral management setups including margin calls, eligibility rules, and collateral allocation
  • Set up and maintain SWIFT messaging and confirmation templates
  • Provide expert-level support for Back Office and Collateral-related client issues
  • Work closely with clients to gather requirements and deliver optimal Back Office solutions
  • Create technical documentation for implemented solutions


Required Skills and Technical Experience

1. Murex Back Office Expertise (Minimum 3 years’ experience)

  • In-depth knowledge of MX.3 Back Office modules including:
  • Settlement and Payment workflows
  • Confirmation generation and management
  • Static Data management (SSI, accounts, calendars)
  • Reconciliation processes

2. Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MXpress and Back Office workflows
  • Experience with MXML for Back Office customizations
  • Understanding of database queries for Back Office data analysis
  • Knowledge of scheduler and batch processing setup
  • Proficient in technologies and protocols such as MXML, MDML, FIX, MQ, XML/XSLT, and shell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle and Sybase databases.

3. Financial Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of post-trade processing lifecycle
  • Knowledge of settlement and clearing mechanisms
  • Understanding of collateral management practices and regulations
  • Familiarity with market standards for confirmations and settlements

4. Consulting Skills

  • Experience in client-facing Back Office implementations
  • Ability to analyze and document Back Office business requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills for post-trade processing issues
  • Experience in post-trade process optimization

5. Communication Skills

  • Excellent English proficiency for client interaction
  • Ability to explain complex Back Office concepts clearly
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Strong documentation skills


Support Structure

The consultant will work within a team of Back Office specialists, collaborating on client implementations and support. Regular knowledge sharing sessions ensure the team stays updated on best practices in post-trade processing and collateral management.


The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Murex Back Office modules and Collateral Management, with a proven track record of successful implementations. Strong technical skills combined with excellent client communication abilities are essential for this role.
