The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, competent and skilled Music/Performing Arts Technician to join our Department at the Stafford College.

You will utilise your knowledge and experience to facilitate and take responsibility for all behind the scenes

activities for all student theatre productions.

You will need to be available during performances to control lighting, staging and sound effects – ensuring that productions are delivered efficiently and smoothly. You will manage all aspects of staging, lighting and sound, ensuring appropriate storage of performing arts and music equipment, set, costumes and props, as well as maintaining and repairing items and equipment. To be successful you will need to hold a technical qualification relating to Music/Performing Arts and have knowledge and experience in using sound/lighting/theatre AV equipment.

You will also possess proficient IT skills with a good working knowledge of

Protools and Logic Software.

Have a good basic level of education including literacy and numeracy to GCSE or equivalent, with the ability to adopt positive working relationships. Be able to demonstrate that you are a team player who is able to work effectively
