Music Specialist Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Music Specialist to work within schools across Swindon. You have plenty of transferable skills that you can bring from your Music degree that you can apply within the classroom; teamwork, dedication, resilience, motivation, communication and of course, creativity – these are all essential when working with children and young people in schools! Music is a great tool that can be used within schools to help students therapeutically or for focus. Using your creativity, you can help support students’ engagement and attitude towards their learning. Role:

Encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential. Be a flexible, fun and energetic person who fosters a love of learning. Share and support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth. Can demonstrate effective communication and collaborative skills and bring enthusiasm to the role. Motivate pupils with passionate and imaginative presentation. Creative and a ‘think outside the box’ approach. Open minded and flexible to work with a variety of students with various needs. Class teacher – depending on qualifications (QTS needed) Cover supervisor/unqualified teacher – (no qualifications needed) Behaviour Support Assistant Youth Worker Music therapy within SEN schools Qualifications and Experience: (Desirable but not essential!)

Any previous teaching/youth work experience or any relevant experience working with young people. Teaching. Safeguarding. First Aid. Youth work. Understanding of National Curriculum. What Protocol Education Can Offer:
