National Account Manager
to join their dynamic team. Job Purpose: The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across a customer base in line with company objectives. This role involves identifying, capturing, and managing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and developing effective account management plans to deliver sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets within budgetary constraints. Drive sales growth with existing Key/National accounts while maintaining account profitability. Identify new business and product opportunities within accounts and manage them effectively through the sales funnel. Design and implement tailored account development plans to ensure long-term growth. Build and nurture strong customer relationships at all levels, both horizontally and vertically. Collaborate with the Head of Business Development and take responsibility for personal development and improving sales techniques. Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of products and developments in the marketplace. Negotiate and maintain agreed pricing levels across all responsible customer accounts. Work with finance teams to ensure timely payments in line with agreed terms. Stay informed on market and competitor trends, sharing insights to drive business decisions. Ensure the successful implementation of company initiatives and objectives. Adhere to company policies, including Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety regulations. Key Requirements: Proven experience managing Key/National accounts, particularly at a senior level. Knowledge of European account management and the supply chain network is highly desirable. Strong presentation, negotiation, and selling skills with the ability to persuade and influence effectively. Technical competence in product and market knowledge, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Strong PC literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP/CRM systems is beneficial. Excellent time management, organisational skills, and adaptability. A self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with strong decision-making skills. Willingness to travel as required. Education and Experience: Previous experience in managing Key/National accounts, preferably within the retail supply chain sector.
