National Collections Data Manager focuses on lead the trust’s approach to collections data, setting standards, improving quality and ensuring information supports access, research and accountability.

What the role involves

• Lead the Trust’s approach to collections data, setting standards, improving quality and ensuring information supports access, research and accountability.
• Establish strong foundations through data assurance, standards and user support, before leading longer‑term data governance and improvement activity.
• Also support users, represent the Trust externally and help unlock the potential of collections data to increase access, engagement and accountability.
• This is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data issues.

Skills and requirements

• Demonstrable experience leading or managing collections data, standards or governance in a complex organisation.
• Interest in, or experience of, emerging technologies (such as APIs, analytics or AI).
