An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Community CYPMHS Service in Enfield Neurodevelopmental Team and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a great location (the post is based at Bay Tree House in Enfield). This is a full-time post, but we are also open to applications for part time/flexible working. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of the Neurodevelopmental team with Enfield CAMHS, providing a specialist service to children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD). Offering specialist assessments, contributing to the diagnostic process and formulating areas of strengths and needs to inform on evidence-based interventions. In addition to providing clinical supervision to clinicians and trainees, the post holder will also provide support and consultation to multidisciplinary colleagues, professionals and non-professional staff. There are opportunities to deliver therapeutic interventions, utilise research skills for audit and service developmental. Job responsibilities

To provide neurodevelopmental assessment, differential diagnostic assessment, support and intervention to individuals, families or groups in Enfield CAMHS NDS Pathway. To offer advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to colleagues, professional and non-professional staff in mental health services and appropriate agencies, and/or carers. Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options, based on both theoretical and therapeutic models. Person Specification

Education

Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or equivalent); Full membership of the ACP and PSA (Professional Standards Authority); Further training in specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-doctoral training (diploma or equivalent). Skills

Knowledge and skills in the use of complex methods of assessment and intervention. Ability to contain, explore and formulate an understanding of high levels of distress, both directly with patients and indirectly in their network. Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies with children, young people and families. Experience

Interest and/or experience of working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties in mental health services, including the application of risk assessment and safeguarding procedures in this area. Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course with presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity. Experience of work in multidisciplinary team/multi-agency contexts. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
