The Neonatal Outreach team play a vital role in the transition from hospital to home and provide nursing care and support to preterm and sick neonates across the 3 counties of Hywel Dda, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
We are committed to the provision of high quality evidence based practice to meet the needs of babies and their families, incorporating family centred care. The service operating hours are Monday - Friday (office hours), this is a part time post, working 3 days per week.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our small team. A neonatal qualification and or experience is desirable but not essential. You will need a caring attitude with excellent communication skills. You will work closely with multi-professional and multi-agency teams, including medical and nursing, allied health professionals and social care. Good time management and decision making skills are required. IT skills are also desirable.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for babies and their families, in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is an essential part of this role.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
