We are seeking a Network Administrator / IT Systems Administrator to join the IT department. In this pivotal role, you will engage in standard business-as-usual IT activities while collaborating with the IT team on change projects and improvements. Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will be part of a small, supportive team. Your primary focus will be managing the Office 365 and Azure infrastructure, ensuring robust security configurations are in place. As part of this role, you may lead a project to enhance the use of Office 365 and Azure within the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to learn independently, paired with excellent communication skills, as you will interact with various business functions and departments. Key Responsibilities

Network Administration Assist in designing and planning internal IT projects from a networking perspective. Maintain and administer firewalls, switches, routers, IDS/IPS, WAPs, etc. Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential business applications. Systems & Security Manage Windows domain architecture and servers, including Active Directory and Azure AD. Administer user security permissions and internal database servers. Ensure regular validation and testing of backup systems. Oversee patch management to address vulnerabilities and deficiencies. Provide support for various IT systems and services to end users. Research, test, and implement new IT systems as part of ongoing projects. Assist in IT project planning. Technical Requirements

Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, including MS Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Office 365, Azure AD, and Microsoft Entra. Proficient in networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, Wireshark tracing, DHCP/DNS, and 802.11. Familiarity with Linux systems is advantageous. Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus. Experience with Business Central and SharePoint Online is beneficial. Personal Requirements

Bright, fast learner with a positive “can do” attitude. Team player who can take ownership of tasks and projects as needed. Organised, methodical, and diligent in maintaining documentation. Additional Information

Some travel within the UK may be required, including visits to different company sites. Candidates must be UK citizens with no dual nationality due to security clearance requirements and must be willing to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance.
