Network Architect Hybrid Surrey - £65-80K doe Are you an experienced Network Architect looking for your next challenge? We re looking for a skilled professional to help manage and maintain our customers robust IP network across multiple UK data centres. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a highly available, scalable, and secure network while shaping its future alongside a supportive team.

What s the Role About? As a Network Architect, you ll take responsibility for the design, implementation, and management of core network and WAN services. You ll ensure that the network infrastructure is stable, secure, and capable of handling future growth. Your role will span all stages of the network lifecycle, from initial design to testing, implementation, and ongoing support.

What You ll Be Doing: Network Design & Management:

Lead the architecture of our IP/MPLS and IP/VXLAN network, ensuring it s reliable, secure, and scalable. High Availability:

Implement redundancy at every level, from hardware to software, ensuring the network remains highly available and resilient. Collaboration:

Work with the wider technical team, including DevOps and IT, to ensure the network supports new systems and services like Cloud and SDN. Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:

Provide expert-level support for complex network issues, helping to ensure seamless operation across our infrastructure. Documentation & Training:

Produce clear documentation and training materials, ensuring the network team has the knowledge to manage and maintain the infrastructure independently. Ongoing Improvement:

Focus on reducing complexity and increasing standardisation across the network, ensuring the best practices are followed and risk is mitigated. What We re Looking For:

Proven experience as a

Network Architect

or similar role. Strong technical knowledge of

IP/MPLS ,

BGP ,

VXLAN , and

network security . Hands-on experience with

Juniper Networks

routers and switches,

SRX firewalls , and

DWDM technologies . Familiarity with working alongside

Tier 1 carriers

(e.g., BT, Vodafone) for large-scale implementations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical colleagues. Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

JNCIP ,

CCNP , or other relevant certifications. Experience working with

virtualisation ,

SANs , and

cloud platforms . A solid understanding of

high-availability
