Role Overview Our client, a large UK brand, is seeking a Network Deployment Engineer to join our dynamic Technology Infrastructure team for a period of 12 months to help with a company-wide project to rollout our state-of-the-art SD-WAN platform across multiple sites throughout the UK.

Role: Network Deployment Engineer Duration: 12 Month Contract Rate: £ per day Determination: Inside IR35 Location: Remote with some travel to Hertfordshire

Working closely with our network service provider, the Network Deployment Engineer will be required to document the current as-is and post rollout state of our network and endpoint topology, troubleshoot issues as they arise during a site’s migration to the SD-WAN platform, complete post-migration checks to ensure successful site migrations, and identify process changes to optimize and minimize site disruption during their migration.

The role requires an understanding of networking principles, including wired and wireless technologies, routing and switching, and SD-WAN concepts, with the ideal candidate able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, ensuring the seamless deployment of our SD-WAN platform.

Key Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact for our Network Service Provider for any queries as they migrate sites to the SD-WAN platform and for sites post their migration. Determine site deployment templates, including connectivity (SoGEA, FTTP, FTTC, ADSL, 4G, DIA), wireless access point locations and counts, endpoint connectivity and counts, and patching schedules. Assist in the remediation of site issues identified pre, during, and post-migration to the SD-WAN platform. Create and maintain standard documentation on the current as-is network and future state of the SD-WAN deployment. Implement and maintain monitoring standards across sites as they are migrated to the SD-WAN platform. Training and handover support of migrated sites to our Service Desk team. Identify and advocate for process optimization to minimize site disruption during migration.
