Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Network DevOps Engineer to join a unique, multi-national Information Management function! Location : Bristol, Stevenage, Bolton (we may be able to support relocation) Dynamic (hybrid) working : 2-3 days per week on-site depending on business need Security Clearance : British Citizen Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. This role will require the successful candidate to have / be willing to obtain DV Clearance. Fantastic site facilities including subsidised meals, free car parking and much more… The opportunity: Join our forward thinking team as a Network DevOps Engineer, where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our organisation's network infrastructure by leveraging automation toolsets and DevOps practices to enhance efficiency, scalability and security. You'll be passionate about modernising network management, driving automation initiatives and upskilling others. You'll also contribute to building an automated network infrastructure that supports MBDA's critical systems and supports its rapidly evolving organisational needs. Responsibilities will include: Maintain the Network Source of Truth, ensuring that it serves as the foundation of reliable automation. Develop, implement and maintain network automation scripts using tools like Ansible and Python. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to deploy, test and validate network configurations. Maintain version controlled repositories for network automation scripts. Help team members understand and use network automation tools effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of various IT disciplines to integrate network automation into the broader DevOps and Infrastructure workflows. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with some of the latest network technologies and make a direct impact on how the network infrastructure will be managed in the future. What we are looking for from you: Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/UDP, IP, DNS, Routing, Switching, Subnetting, VLANs and Load Balancing) Understanding of network architectures and security zones. Familiarity with Cisco technologies, especially DNAC and ACI is desirable. Experience with using scripting languages such as Ansible Playbooks and Python to interact with network devices. Experience in using version control systems. Git and CI/CD with Gitlab is preferable. Solid understanding of API's and data formats such as YAML and JSON. Experience of using a Network Source of Truth application such as Nautobot is desirable. Experience using containerisation platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficient in using a Linux OS distribution, RHEL is preferable. Experience with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform is desirable. A Cisco DevNet Associate or higher qualification would be advantageous. Our company:
