Strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, load balancers, and switches. An understanding of security requirements and the ability to deploy updates within business guidelines. Advanced knowledge of networking protocols, subnetting, VLANs, and VPNs. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems. Experience in monitoring network performance and resolving bottlenecks. Collaborating with the helpdesk team and educating them on network-related issues. Desirable skills and experience:
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure & AWS cloud services. Knowledge of Cisco Switches, FortiNet firewalls, Dell Servers, iDrac, Veeam, Zerto data resiliency platforms, and Rapid7. Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents escalated by 1st /2nd line support. Interaction with vendors for support escalations. Familiarity with ITIL practises. Ability to automate solutions through scripting. Capability to plan and test pent test remediations. Managing certificate updates across network services/devices.
