Network Engineer
with strong expertise in
Fortinet technologies
to join a dynamic team at a leading financial services company based in Bromley. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions that support our critical business operations. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, performance, and availability of our network infrastructure in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain secure network solutions using
Fortinet
technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime. Implement and manage network security policies, including VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects, including cloud integration and network upgrades. Manage and maintain network documentation, configurations, and processes in line with regulatory and compliance standards. Perform regular system updates, patching, and vulnerability assessments to maintain a secure network environment. Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure network resilience against evolving threats. Support day-to-day operations, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and proactive network monitoring. Skills and Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with
Fortinet technologies , including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Proven expertise in managing large-scale, complex network environments. In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs). Experience with network security solutions, including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls. Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments is a plus. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex network issues. Relevant certifications such as
Fortinet NSE 4/5/6 , CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
