AIT Worldwide Logistics is looking for a Network Engineer with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, capable of working independently, who has proven experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting wired and wireless network solutions. The Network Engineer, based in the UK, will provide a supporting role in AIT’s Infrastructure Team. Responsibilities
Design and deploy data networks utilizing industry best practices (wired and wireless). Execute projects within expected time frames; the ability to work independently. Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Cisco switches (Catalyst and Meraki), and firewalls (Palo Alto and CradlePoint). Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage wireless networks (Meraki and Extreme Networks). Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN and application issues. Participate in on-call rotation. Occasional travel (may be required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree related to IT or comparable field experience required. Other skills we would like to see: 2-3 years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure. 2-3 years working with Cisco routing and switching protocols. 2-3 years firewall administration experience (Palo Alto experience preferred). 2-3 years working with Application, Transport and Network infrastructure protocols (SSH, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NTP, ARP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, BGP, OSPF, IPSec). Ability to troubleshoot AWS CloudWAN routing. Solid understanding of the OSI model. Possess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies. Ability to work and communicate with all levels of staff inside and outside the organization. Ability to work independently and within a team.
