Discretionary annual bonus The Role: You and Your Team: Reporting into our Network Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering change and driving value for Vanquis Customers through the design, provision and support of Network Infrastructure solutions as part of our Technology Operations department. As a Network Engineer Specialist, some of the key responsibilities are: Have the ability to deliver work items in both an ITIL and Agile way as part of the Network Infrastructure team, working autonomously to engage key stakeholders, ensuring all decisions satisfy risk appetite and managing controlled delivery of service improvement alongside managing day to day and priority incidents. Define and document improvement opportunities, highlighting value and risk mitigation options. Troubleshoot existing network infrastructure-based solutions to resolve incidents. Support Project Managers, Business Analysts and Managers with current processes, best practices and ideas to solve business challenges. Embrace and drive a continuous learning culture where the development of new skills and knowledge is paramount to the success of the role and proactively engages and supports the wider technology teams. Comply with the organisations Information Security Policy, and all subordinate policies and local procedures. What We’re Looking For: Experience applying network engineering skills in a Financial Services environment. Demonstrable experience of working on an enterprise network LAN/WAN across multiple sites. Experience in Advanced Routing and Switching Techniques. Demonstrable experience in Network Security Protocols and Firewalls. Experience working in Cloud Networking and Virtualization. Proven knowledge and experience in Wireless and Mobile Networking. Experience in Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Experience in Network Automation and Orchestration.
