Competitive, based on experience We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to provide expert technical support and leadership in all network-related aspects across our business. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to the design, deployment, and maintenance of robust, secure, and efficient network solutions. Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise:

Provide expert technical support and knowledge in all network-related aspects across the business, including Mako and other network technologies. Project Delivery:

Assist in the delivery of network-related elements of projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. Solution Design:

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and deploy network solutions, troubleshoot issues, and offer expert consultation on B2B network links. Network Implementation:

Leverage deep expertise in IP networks, routing protocols, and hands-on implementations to enhance the infrastructure. Meraki Technology & SD-WAN:

Focus on supporting and optimizing Meraki technology and SD-WAN solutions for the business. Vendor Collaboration:

Consult with third-party partners to ensure prompt, cost-effective delivery of networking services and solutions. Security & Continuity:

Work with colleagues to ensure network security, continuity, and resilience. Documentation:

Maintain accurate network diagrams and update the knowledge base to reflect all changes. Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential

Certifications:

CCNA & CCNP certification (required) Experience:

Extensive experience with Meraki networks and hands-on implementation on SDWAN Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of IP networks, routing protocols, and IP schemes within complex environments. Expertise in IPSec and multi-site VPN configuration/setup. Wi-Fi deployment and troubleshooting proficiency. Familiarity with WAN/LAN environments and network design principles. Practical experience with firewalls and network security. Proficient user of Microsoft tools for reporting, analysis, and documentation. Desirable:

Experience with Mako networks or other comparable technologies. Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance. Exposure to Project Management practices. Attributes:

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and logical problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing time efficiently. Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups. Proactive in researching, presenting, and implementing technical options and solutions. Role is based in Wigan, those who are not local or prepared to be on site each week need not apply.
