Network Manager

to lead the dedicated team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising the network infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of networks for the organisation and the diverse clients, making up major retail brands worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IP networks, routing protocols, and practical expertise in network implementation. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver seamless network solutions, address complex technical challenges, and provide expert consultancy on B2B network connectivity. Key Objectives, Principal Responsibilities, and Accountabilities : Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage the Network Team, fostering collaboration, attention to detail, and robust support for the NOC function. Train and mentor team members to ensure the delivery of services aligned with SLAs. Network Strategy & Design: Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain high availability, performance, and security for both internal and client networks. Assist Network Architects in designing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure. Operational Excellence: Monitor network performance and work with the NOC Manager to provide proactive support to customers. Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address network support needs effectively. Manage and execute network changes, adhering to established Change Management Processes. Tools & Documentation: Ensure network management tools function effectively and can be utilized by other teams. Document technical standards, create detailed network diagrams, and maintain an updated knowledge base. Service Delivery: Support senior team members in achieving KPI targets. Serve as part of an out-of-hours on-call escalation team to address critical network changes or issues. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Certifications & Technical Knowledge: CCNA or higher certification preferred. Strong knowledge of firewalls, IPsec, multi-site VPN setups, and IP schemes in complex environments. Proficiency in WAN/LAN network design and troubleshooting. Expertise in Wi-Fi systems and SD-WAN knowledge (training provided if required). Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance is advantageous. Leadership & Collaboration: Proven experience managing teams measured by SLAs and handling escalations. Excellent ability to collaborate with stakeholders, present technical solutions, and influence decisions. Technical Tools & Project Management: Hands-on experience with Mako networks and other networking technologies. Competence in researching, evaluating, and implementing innovative network solutions. Exposure to project management methodologies. Personal Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented, and logical thinker. Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
