Network Security Engineer - The Role:

KHIPU Networks is an industry leader in cyber security and networking technology, dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions and security to our clients. As we expand our operations, we're seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls to join our team. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for supporting, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions across our customers' and internal networks. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Next Generation Firewalls, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members. You will play a key role in ensuring the security and performance of our customers' network and security infrastructure. The successful applicant will be part of an international team of highly skilled engineers supporting KHIPU Networks customers globally. Network Security Engineer - Key Duties

Configure and maintain firewalls and network equipment across various environments. Monitor and troubleshoot firewall and network performance, connectivity, and security issues. Use your skills and experience to resolve cases, adapt troubleshooting skills and knowledge of firewalls and networking. Implement firewall policies, rules, and configurations to align with security best practices and organizational requirements. Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend solutions for identified network risks. Support and carry out firewall upgrades, policy and configuration changes. Occasional visits to customer sites where on-site work is required. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs. Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal teams as needed. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Engage with customers professionally, providing telephone, email and remote technical assistance. Stay up to date with the latest in network security technology and practices. Network Security Engineer - You:

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certifications with alternative security vendors e.g. Fortigate, Checkpoint. Industry certifications with other vendors supported by KHIPU e.g. Infoblox, Aruba. Experience:

3+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls or equivalent. Strong knowledge of firewall policies, network security protocols, and best practices. Proficiency with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, NAT, etc.). Familiarity with security monitoring and management tools. Experience working in a Support or Managed Services environment. Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a commitment to providing the very best service. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
