An opportunity has arisen to join the IS Infrastructure and Delivery Team as Networks & Unified Communications Manager. In this key role, you will oversee Eurostar’s network and unified communications systems, focusing on managing 3rd party providers, defining a service roadmap, and serving as a subject matter expert in networking. You will ensure systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support business objectives, providing technical oversight, architectural expertise, and solutions for new initiatives. We're looking for someone to: Have ownership of the networking and unified communications services and products utilised by Eurostar. Lead management of service providers and solutions vendors delivering services and products to Eurostar. Provide technical expertise to deliver the strategy for voice, data and mobile network infrastructure across Eurostar. This includes, but is not limited to: SDWAN, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Voice Systems, Voice Recording, Circuits, 4G/5G networks, Operational control communications platforms. Ensure Network & Communications systems roadmap is continually up to date and communicated well. Liaise with project delivery functions to ensure initiatives are accurately planned and budgeted. Capture business requirements and translate these into detailed technical designs for implementation. Continually review the licensing and maintenance agreements to ensure that products and services are optimally licensed and maintained and that renewals are done in good time. Provide technical direction and leadership within the scope of specialist knowledge area for the resolution of major enterprise systems outages, incidents or problems. Engage with peers and stakeholders, both within IS and the wider business, to identify opportunities and deliver improvement through new technology adoption and new ways of working. Manage and coordinate team members’ workloads and tasks to ensure timely delivery, motivate and keep them informed about departmental updates, while developing both team and personal skills to stay current with emerging technologies and support the successful adoption of new technologies within the business. You'll need to: Have a degree level or equivalent in an Information Technology subject. Have qualifications including Cisco Technical accreditation, Service Management e.g. ITIL v4, a formal architectural framework e.g. TOGAF, and a Project Management e.g. Prince2. Substantial experience in a similar role. A pro-active attitude to get things done, remove blockers and focus on achieving desired outcomes. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and growth mindset. Work under pressure. Adaptable/flexible to changing demands. Be an excellent decision maker with good problem-solving skills. Have strong personal organisation and productivity skills. Excellent communication skills in English, with French fluency an advantage. Demonstrate focus on continual personal development to keep knowledge and understanding up to date with IT.
