Neurodevelopmental Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist Grade Dr

Sussex CAMHS is at the beginning of a crucial and innovative expansion, which will see a substantial amount of growth in a variety of teams across East & West Sussex.

As part of this expansion, we have funding to develop our Neurodevelopmental pathway across Sussex Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The Trust regards this as an opportune moment to enhance the functioning of the team and the overall service model for the Neurodevelopmental care pathway provided by Sussex CAMHS.

We are seeking to recruit to a newly developed Neurodevelopmental Specialist Grade post to work on the Sussex-wide Neurodevelopment pathway across Sussex CAMHS. You will have the opportunity to choose your base for this role, at either Hastings or Hailsham.

This post attracts a Golden Hello payment of up to £5,000 as well as a Relocation Package of up to £8,000. Information on these can be obtained from the Medical Staffing Team on 0300 304 0393.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in prioritising the delivery of a safe, effective, and caring service to children and young people, and their families/carers, who have or are suspected of having neurodevelopmental disorders.

The service we provide is in line with NICE Evidenced Based Assessment and Treatment for children and young people with or suspected of a Neurodevelopmental condition. You will provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations, to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings, and work collaboratively with other team members to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.

You will work alongside other Specialists, Consultants, and Specialty Doctors in Sussex ChYPS. Our supportive multidisciplinary team includes nurses, psychologists, and mental health practitioners.

At Sussex Partnership, we are committed to providing opportunities for flexible working. If you would like to work differently or different hours than advertised, please get in touch to discuss this in more detail.
