within the youth autism assessment team (ADYSS). ADYSS is a part of our neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD) under-18s pathway in Suffolk, and works with young people aged 11 to 17 years. The NDD pathway in Suffolk includes the Integrated Community Paediatric Service (ICPS), the County-Wide Children's ADHD Service and the LD CAMHS Service. There is a broad project underway to develop how we work-together in the pathway, and to further connect the pathway with other CAMHS mental health teams, and some voluntary sector and education-based services. ADYSS is a small multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, assistant psychologists, a speech and language therapist, an occupational therapist, and a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist. We are supported by an excellent senior administrator, team manager and service manager with regular contact with a network of clinicians, business support and senior managers in NSFT and the broader pathway. We are a friendly and innovative service skilled in needs-based assessment and in working with young people and their families to reach an understanding of their strengths and differences. We offer advice, brief intervention, and make recommendations and referrals based upon clinically established needs. We also consult, and sometimes work jointly with other teams. Main duties of the job

Applicants are welcomed from the fields of nursing, social work, and allied health care professions such as speech and language therapy and occupational therapy. Ideally you will have experience working professionally with young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism. We will also consider applications from newly qualified practitioners wishing to develop skills and expertise in this expanding and clinically evolving area of specialist practice. Successful applicants will have opportunities for professional development and progression within the trust and this is strongly encouraged within our services. Examples of opportunities for development include non-medical prescribing, advanced health care practice therapies and use of specialist diagnostic tools. About us

Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive. Why work for us?
