We are seeking a Neuroradiology Assistant who will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, working at both James Cook and the local areas Community Diagnostic Centres. This role involves demonstrating a range of skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy, and respect under the appropriate supervision of the radiology assistant team leader or registered healthcare practitioner. Main duties of the job

To assist with a patient-centered service within the Neuroradiology department by assisting, escorting, preparing, and observing patients before, during, and after procedures. This may involve working in all modalities including MRI, CT, and Fluoroscopy. The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge and skills within the specialty and will assist in the management and delivery of compassionate, high-quality patient care. The post holder will ensure that lists run effectively under the instruction of the Radiographers. The post holder will work as a team with other assistants and healthcare professionals and support the training of student radiographers and volunteers. They will always demonstrate the Trust's values and behaviours, the Trust's Code of Conduct, and the NHS's 6Cs, acting in the best interests of patients and treating everyone with dignity and respect. The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with all Trust policies, particularly those relating to personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare-associated infections.
