About the Role: As a Business Engagement Adviser, you will play a crucial role in connecting with employers to foster meaningful partnerships. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to identify training needs as well as identifying recruitment opportunities. This position requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with excellent communication and networking skills. The position will also require you to be a car user. Working within a wider business development team, prospecting, and building their own sales leads, using social media such as LinkedIn, targeting key sectors and areas in line with our sales strategy. Gaining a full understanding of our industry and how it operates. We create long lasting relationships with our customers and therefore require all staff to acquire a sense of empathy and understanding, working with our partners. Key Responsibilities: Employer Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with local employers, understanding their training, company culture, and recruitment needs. Regularly engage with existing employer partners to strengthen connections and identify new opportunities. Networking and Outreach: Attend industry events, job fairs, and networking functions to promote PTP's services and establish new connections within the business community. Collaborate with local organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to expand the network of potential employers. Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records through the CRM system. Generate regular reports on employer engagement activities, outcomes, and trends. Your skills & knowledge: Experience in sales, business development, marketing, and account management. Knowledge of apprenticeships, work placements, and government-funded training programmes. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships and rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience using CRM software. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. There are two fundamental aspects of the role: picking up the phone and using the CRM system; full training will be given on all of our systems. Ideally, you will have good knowledge of the Further Education Sector; however, the most important areas for us are being able to build rapport quickly and develop productive relationships, coupled with professionalism and credibility. You can work under pressure, with flexibility and resilience whilst maintaining the ambition and commitment to exceed targets. You will be a team player with excellent customer service and account management skills, have the ability to learn quickly and feel passionate about developing people. Beneficial (but not necessary): Good product knowledge & understanding of Apprenticeships. Proficient with all tools used; TEAMs, Zoom, etc. Ability to work autonomously and collaborate within the team. Have an online presence to network and face-to-face.
