Our client is looking for new graduates as they would like to offer the opportunity for you to put your theory learnt into practice and to experience all the wonderful variety that the profession has to offer and hone those day one skills. You will have the freedom to explore new techniques and share them with the team as we love to hear new ideas! You will be given independence; however, assurance will be there with an experienced vet on hand to help and advise when needed.

They are looking for:

A lively and motivated candidate, willing to engage in either Small Animal or all fields of mixed practice, with the aim to become a clinically independent veterinary surgeon with the help of regular consultations with your VetGDP advisor for support and advice. We want all our Veterinary Surgeons to be happy and dependable vets.

More about the clinic:

This is a mixed practice that is based 40 minutes from Dublin and Belfast.

They see roughly 50% small, 45% large, and 5% equine which will develop your skills across the board and help you understand what specific interests you may wish to explore more. We are a highly equipped practice with a digital x-ray, lab suite, and advanced ultrasound for all medical and surgical investigations.

You will be able to join a Graduate Development Programme, which means you will embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD, and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.

They will provide:

Support; regular meetings will be held with you to listen to your highs and lows and to help mentor you as you start your veterinary journey.

Starting Salary: £36k

Start date – This new position is immediately available.

They have an equally shared rota between the Vets and OOH – currently 1 in 6 or less nights on call and is negotiable.
