Join our Product Realisation team as a New Product Introduction Engineer and play a key role in bringing our innovative products to life.

In this essential role, you’ll ensure seamless design transfers of new products and upgrades, guiding them from development and engineering into production.

You’ll be responsible for establishing robust specifications, systems, and processes, ensuring every product reaches the market on time and with the highest standards of quality.

What you’ll do at Elekta In this role your responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

Represent Supply Chain Management (SCM) in technical and engineering decisions, ensuring SCM objectives are met in Product Creation Process projects.

Collaborate in make/buy decision-making processes.

Communicate project progress, risks, and issues, escalating as necessary to SCM management.

Interface with Product Creation Process teams, developing plans that support timely, cost-effective, and high-quality product introductions.

Contribute to the Design Transfer process, applying manufacturing engineering, Lean, quality management, and SCM expertise.

Actively participate in cross-departmental brainstorming and planning meetings, promoting collaboration and alignment.

Facilitate the creation of prototype and development products in conjunction with project teams.

Promote standardized design criteria across all product lines.

Ensure swift implementation of engineering changes to optimize supply chain and manufacturing efficiency.

Analyze and present cost-benefit data for production, seeking approvals from business and product management stakeholders.

The right stuff

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise and influence key stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrable record of delivering stretching targets and successfully managing concurrent tasks.

Experience of interfacing with innovation personnel, manufacturing, supply chains, and senior management.

Ability and willingness to travel to global locations.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to self-manage and prioritize workload in a high-pressure environment.

What You Bring

A strong manufacturing background is essential.

Demonstrable record of successfully transferring innovation projects into a global supply chain is essential.

Ability to read engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, and translate into production processes.

Good understanding of configuration control principles as employed in an engineering environment.

Strong knowledge of ISO13485, 9001, and their application within supply chains.

Experience of ERP and PLM environments is essential.

Experience of facilitating improvement workshops or forums.

Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs.

Fluent in English.

Medical industry and product domain knowledge are desirable.

Elekta product knowledge is desirable.

This role requires occasional travel, approximately 5% of the time.

** It would be advantageous if you have prior experience in the medical industry, product domain knowledge, and familiarity with Elekta products. **
