NPI/Production Engineer – High-Tech Start-Up An innovative start-up is seeking an NPI/Production Engineer to join their growing team. Having recently gained regulatory approval for their first product, they’re moving into production while setting their sights on developing the next generation of their pioneering, patented technology. This is a unique chance to be part of a company whose work will transform lives. Based primarily at their contract manufacturing facility in Mildenhall, Suffolk, you’ll be the crucial link between the company and their manufacturing partners, ensuring a smooth and cost-effective transition from development to production while maintaining top-tier quality standards. For the first six months, you’ll spend two days per week at the company’s head office near Bristol to immerse yourself in the product and the team (with travel and accommodation fully covered). Following this, your focus will shift to the Mildenhall site, with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent (approximately two days every six weeks, with all travel and accommodation costs covered). This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days will be the same. You'll take ownership of key technical processes, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional products to market. What You’ll Be Doing: Acting as the main technical point of contact between the company and its manufacturing partners. Driving continuous improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs. Providing engineering support, including prototyping, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and material selection. Reviewing and approving designs, including 2D/3D CAD models and BOMs. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO 13485 & 14001). Supporting assembly trials and resolving technical challenges in production. What You’ll Need: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, etc.). Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing assembly processes. Strong skills in managing subcontractors and suppliers. A proven track record in NPI (New Product Introduction). CAD proficiency, ideally with SolidWorks. Experience in developing manufacturing process documentation. Why Join? This role offers a rare opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and make a tangible difference. With varied responsibilities, travel opportunities, and the chance to be part of a transformative journey, this is more than just a job - it’s a chance to shape the future. Interested?
