Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a client in Derry / Londonderry to recruit a brand-new exciting role for a New Product Introduction Manager.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN DERRY / LONDONDERRY IN NORTHERN IRELAND - IT'S NOT A REMOTE ROLE.

The Manager of New Product Introduction (NPI) is responsible for the standardisation and optimisation of the customer experience (internal and external) across the new product commercialisation lifecycle for the company flexibles business (four manufacturing facilities).

This role will lead the streamlining and capability enhancement of various Project Management, Specification Development and Master Data management areas within the company Flexibles business.

This business leader will need to have a Lean Six Sigma mindset; the day-to-day duties of this business leader will feel much like that of a leader in a manufacturing facility. The processes to be managed are highly technical; however, high-quality project throughput is a critical success factor.

Duties:

Drive standardization of operational practices to streamline and enhance our customer interactions and customer experience within our NPI processes. Deliver high SLA adherence (tailored both internal and external constituents) across all company NPI processes. Implement operational and human capital strategy by discovering, prioritising, and differentiating workflows across a diverse set of NPI initiatives and use cases. Deliver transformative change by influencing teams where process standardization is essential, optimising workflows, and collaboration across teams. Responsible for the customer onboarding experience associated with short time line, high volume project launches (approximately 300-500 launches per year, with desired project timelines of approximately 1 month). Possess and/or acquire SME knowledge of principles, processes, and practices to ensure the business is meeting the needs of our customers; this includes customer needs assessments, establishing the capability to meet the most stringent quality standards for design, engineering, and related services, and conducting routine customer satisfaction surveys and audits. Be familiar and knowledgeable with various aspects of product engineering to translate commercial concepts and designs into production ready, "manufacturable" solutions aligning operational with technical needs. Establish metrics (KPIs) and measurable goals which affirm the optimal effectiveness of the NPI process.

Criteria:

Degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Math, Science, Business or related field required. Project Management and Lean Operations certifications desired. 7-10 years in a similar or equivalent position in a manufacturing or services operations environment (experience in the medical field or other highly specified/validated industry preferred). Demonstrated leadership of highly effective, interdisciplinary teams resulting in extraordinary operational efficiency, quality, and SLA adherence. Experience interacting with medical / pharma customers desired, but not required. General knowledge of the medical device and pharma regulatory landscape (i.e.: The Code of Federal Regulation 21 CFR - Part 820 desired, but not required).

Working Hours:

Core hours between 07.30 and 16.30, but we can offer flextime around 8am, 8.30am etc. - requiring availability outside normal hours from time to time. 20% travel required [between the three sites is also required].

Full spec and salary details can be provided on application.

Please send CV and Cover Letter detailing how you fit the role to Colleen Farquharson via the apply link. Brook Street NMR is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
