Mirror, working Wednesday to Sunday covering our exciting weekend desk . We are keen to speak with experienced reporters who thrive in a fast-paced newsroom environment, enjoy the thrill of breaking news and have a history of securing brilliant exclusives. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled journalist to play a pivotal role in the creation of engaging news content for this renowned national title. We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content. This role is home and hub based linked to our Canary Wharf Hub (minimum 2 days per week in the hub). We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London. Job Description

What will the role involve? You will write and develop stories, with great pictures and engaging video. You will deliver a fast turnaround on major news stories across the UK and around the world and bring in exclusive stories that set us apart from our rivals. You will ensure all copy is legally sound and meets IPSO guidelines and the Mirror’s standards. This position will involve early and late shifts on a rota basis, so a flexible approach is required. Qualifications

Who are we looking for? You are an experienced journalist with an

NCTJ or equivalent journalism qualification and in depth knowledge of media law . You have a strong track record of delivering a wide range of engaging human interest and hard hitting news stories at a national or major regional title while understanding what works for a digital audience. You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and a bursting book of industry contacts. You’re flexible, inquisitive and have a keen eye for what makes a great story. Additional Information
