Our services have been appointed by one of our highly valued clients to recruit a Locum Consultant Respiratory Physician. The Hospital is based in the South of England and they are looking to recruit on a Fixed Term basis for 6-12 months.
This post presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic growing department practicing from a newly built, state of the art 480 bed hospital. The appointee should have a special interest in any of the following areas: asthma, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, pleural disease or sleep and domiciliary ventilation. Post holders will have the opportunity to develop their interest further once in post. You should also hold MRCP (UK) or equivalent and it is desirable for candidate to be within 6 months of CCT or equivalent.
The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides a wide range of services including, Bronchiectasis, COPD, Asthma, Interstitial lung disease, Pulmonary fibrosis, Cystic fibrosis. They have a Sleep Service, Lung Cancer Service, Plural Service, Bronchoscopy & EBUS service providing 2 lists per week, a Lung Function Service and CTD ILD monthly clinic. You will join the 6 existing Consultants providing respiratory care to the area's population of 400,000.
Applicants will be expected to hold the MRCP or equivalent and must be fully registered with the General Medical Council. The appointee must be on the GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or equivalent.
