Night Shift CNC Turner
due to expansion.
CNC Turner:
2 Axis CNC Turning - Late shift - Permanent
Salary:
Depending on Experience Range £30k-£37k per annum - (however night shift premium is time plus one third).
Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking to work for a more established local manufacturing business? Do you have a passion for precision engineering, an excellent understanding of the turning process and can work to tight tolerances and surface finishes? My client is a long-established business that specialises in the manufacture of low volume, high quality, tubular and threaded components for various sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defense industries and due to continuous expansion, we are actively hiring for an experienced CNC Turner as we are looking to expand our engineering team.
Experience Required
Proven time served experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis turning machines. Ability to write new CNC programs long hand at the machine with little or no supervision. Editing prewritten programs, the full machine setup including material, tooling, speeds, feeds. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment. Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals. Excellent working knowledge of 2 axis CNC machines, cutting speeds and feeds, geometric tolerances. Solid understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and standards. Experience of Fanuc controls would be advantageous. Have a strong working history within the manufacturing industry within a machine shop environment. Have a hands-on, quality driven, positive, self-motivated manner in order to be able to hit the ground running. Confident in working on parts up to ¢300mm x 3m in length, using lifting equipment provided as some of our work can be large. Hoist training will also be provided.
Package and Benefits: Salary depending on experience. Range £30-£37k per annum. The position is full-time and permanent, and an immediate start is available. Hours are Monday - Wednesday 4.30pm - 3.30am, Thursday 4.30pm - 1.30am. Holidays are 20 days + 8 Bank Holidays + Bonus holiday over the Christmas Period. Government Pension Scheme.
