About us DWR Veterinary Specialists is one of the largest specialist multi-disciplinary veterinary referral centres in Europe, offering outstanding levels of clinical care in state-of-the-art facilities. Our dedicated vets, nurses and nursing assistants, supported by the client care teams, are committed to providing the highest quality surgical and medical care for pets. Many of our clinicians are nationally or internationally recognised specialists in their field and bring unique experiences to care for pets. We accept referrals in Anaesthesia, Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Physiotherapy, Dentistry and Soft Tissue Surgery. We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.

Your role and responsibilities An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic RVN to join the vibrant Night Team working in our busy, purpose-built clinic that is fully equipped with the surgical equipment and diagnostic facilities commensurate with a flagship specialist veterinary centre. As a Night Nurse you will have the opportunity to work in all our wards, including ICU and nursing canine and feline patients across all disciplines. You will also be involved with the care and triage of emergencies admitted out of hours. Night Nurses are allocated to a ward for the duration of their set of shifts which will allow you to get to know your patients and recognise changes in their condition. You will work alongside a team of Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Interns with a Specialist from each department on call. No two nights are the same! This makes working nights interesting and challenging with generous time off, giving a good work-life balance. Please note that we are ideally looking for a full-time associate to join our team, working 12-hour shifts from 6.30pm to 6.30am on a 4 on 5 off pattern, however, part-time applicants would also be considered. You will have excellent all-round nursing skills, with a passion and drive for delivering outstanding patient care. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a supportive working environment whilst also being able to use your initiative and challenge the status quo. Referral nursing experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
