About the role The main purpose of the role of night shift automotive technician is to diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacements in accordance with Central Engineering Standard Operating Procedures. Main Areas of Responsibility: Vehicle fault diagnostics and repair To fully comply with all HS & E legislation along with group policies. To fully comply with all relevant engineering SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). To provide guidance to other staff as required. To maintain and develop technical skills as required. To have a level of flexibility to work at any location within the company as and when required. About you Must hold a minimum NVQ level 3 standard mechanical qualification or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1 & 2). Must have a clean UK drivers licence Must be a UK resident and be able to provide proof of right to work in the UK. Must be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle systems. Must be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment. Must be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment. Must have basic skills in gas and electric welding, burning, and basic body repairs. Rewards & Benefits Free travel on our buses for you and your family.
