Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in our care home.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to the care team
Develop and implement care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met
Supervise and assist with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
Utilize IT systems for documentation and record keeping
Qualifications:
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is required
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
Medication trained, preferred a minimum of 1 year experience
Knowledge of care planning processes and procedures
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Familiarity with care home regulations and best practices
Valid driver's license is preferred
