Compass Point Recruitment is excited to represent our fantastic client based in Needham Market, Suffolk, in their search for a Night Warehouse Manager. This role is crucial to the successful operation of the business, where you will be the mainstay of their night-time warehouse services.
As Warehouse Manager, you'll work alongside a growing company, actively monitoring performance, driving progression, and helping push the business to the next level. This position offers significant career progression for a motivated individual with a can-do attitude and relevant experience in similar environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all night shift warehouse operations, focusing on order accuracy, efficiency, and timely distribution. Motivate and lead a team of warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Monitor and enhance order processing and fulfilment levels, ensuring alignment with company standards. Identify and address operational issues to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Utilize forklift (FLT) skills as needed to assist the team and ensure productivity. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and training to support staff development. Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless warehouse operations. Assist your team with picking and packing tasks and provide support with manual labour as needed. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working in ambient environments or similar warehouse operations. Proven experience in confidently leading and supporting a team. Strong organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication. A structured approach to work with an emphasis on performance and efficiency. Strong leadership skills focused on team performance, motivation, and development. Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including order fulfilment, stock control, and logistics. FLT license (preferred), with hands-on experience using warehouse equipment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Benefits:
