NMR Applications Specialist

JEOL (UK) Ltd is looking for a new NMR applications specialist based in our UK demonstration laboratory in Welwyn Garden City. Role Overview: The NMR Applications Scientist provides applications support to the Sales and Marketing team through demonstrations of NMR products to existing and potential customers. Other responsibilities include delivering applications notes and similar marketing collateral, providing technical advice to colleagues, and developing and delivering NMR training courses. Responsibilities: Demonstrate the full capabilities of NMR products to existing and potential customers in the applications lab, at customer sites, and scientific conferences. Provide clear reports from sample data acquired at demos or from customer samples to promote our NMR products. Contribute to the upkeep of the NMR applications lab. Write applications notes and other marketing collateral. Represent JEOL at domestic and international scientific conferences and exhibitions. Provide technical support to customers, sales, and marketing, pre and post sales. Assist Product Managers with the evaluation of new products, software, or accessories. Participate in development and delivery of training for NMR customers. Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to promote JEOL NMR systems. Develop expertise with developing NMR applications and methods. Qualifications Required: PhD in Chemistry, Physics or related discipline. Fluent English (other European languages and Japanese are a plus). Extensive knowledge of NMR applications and methods. Full Driving License. Up to 50% travel is anticipated. Full current eligibility to work and live in the UK and no visa restrictions to travel internationally.
