Our client is an established development and manufacturing business that provides a range of services across the drug development lifecycle to biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors globally. Their range of services covers clinical trial supply, R&D, biomarker discovery, analytical services through to commercial scale manufacture.

They are currently seeking an analytical technical leader to join their team to perform GMP and non-GMP activities relating to NMR analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

Operation and troubleshooting of the NMR systems.

Carry out validation and sample analysis in support of development, manufacture, and release for both internal and external customers.

Analysis of samples for structural elucidation, assay analysis, impurity identification, peptide sequencing, characterization, and quantitative analysis of low levels of impurities.

May include more routine analytical methods such as HPLC, GC, KF, and elemental analysis.

Skills Required:

Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment.

Experience in method development and validation.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in NMR in an industrial or academic environment.

Experience of structure elucidation and quantitative analysis using NMR.

Experience of NMR analysis of peptides, biologics, and small molecules.

Experience in the design of advanced NMR experiments and interpretation of the resulting data as well as maintaining NMR instruments.

Previous experience within a supervisory role.

Experience in the provision of NMR support to organic chemists.
