Description We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey. Duties/Responsibilities:

Pick up clients at home or other living facility

using company provided vehicle . Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers. Transport clients to the Durham Medical Center and clinics in the surrounding cities. Ensure wheelchairs and passengers are properly secured before starting the vehicle. On arrival at medical facility, assist clients in exiting the vehicle and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas. Check the vehicle to ensure that no personal items are left behind. Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures. Assist patients with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Operate mobile devices, mobile software systems, and GPS unit. Conduct pre and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks. Communicate transport details with dispatch. Possess a friendly and courteous attitude when transporting clients. Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle. Other functions may be assigned. Education and Experience:

Must hold a currently valid driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required. Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently. Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending. Ability to drive for over an hour. Requirements:

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, MVR screening, background check, TB screening, & pre-employment physical. Must have professional driving experience. Report to work on time and in proper uniform. Maintain a strong attendance record. Safely operate a wheelchair accessible minivan. Must be reliable and capable of working independently. Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in high-stress situations. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be capable of driving in inclement weather. Must be flexible to work early morning, mid-morning, or evening hours. Must be flexible to work holidays and weekends when rotated. $16.29 hr base pay plus an additional $4.57 hr in benefits.
