Our Council of Governors is looking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors to join our Board of Directors. Working as part of a unitary board, this is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to share their talent and expertise and to make a positive difference to the lives of the people we serve. We are seeking one Non-Executive Director with substantial experience in human resources and change management, and another with a finance or audit background. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate alignment with our values and the NHS Leadership Competency Framework for Board Members published by NHS England. We particularly welcome applications from people from local black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and people with disabilities, who are under-represented in these important roles. Main Duties of the Job

Non-Executive Directors work as part of the Board of Directors to determine our strategic aims and objectives and ensure that the necessary quality, financial and workforce plans are in place to meet our objectives and effectively monitor our performance. A good working relationship with our Council of Governors and the ability to collaborate while recognizing the independent Non-Executive Director role is crucial. The successful candidates will be involved in committees established by the board and may be asked to chair such committees, seeking assurance on behalf of the board on areas within the committee's purview. Please note that this post is a public appointment and is not subject to the provisions of employment law. Working for Our Organisation
