If so, HUC invites you to consider a unique role as Non-Executive Director (Medical) on our Board. Main duties of the job

As our Non-Executive Director (Medical), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping HUC's strategic direction, championing high standards of clinical governance, and ensuring our services meet the highest quality and compliance standards. You'll bring an independent perspective, challenge assumptions, and offer strategic guidance on major decisions that impact both our patients and workforce. We recognise that a number of our systems and processes need to change, so that they are fit for purpose in a larger organisation. You can play a central role in setting the agenda for this change and evaluating progress against this. We believe that the ideal candidate will have operated at a Senior Partner level developing the scale of operations/innovative products and services ideally gained in an urgent care environment. You will therefore have a background in, or experience of: Working at, or close to, Board level Healthcare leadership in NHS or private healthcare, ideally with expertise in urgent care Partnership building and social entrepreneurship, balancing big-picture thinking with practical decision making Therefore, an understanding of the performance requirements and metrics in urgent care services would be a distinct advantage. Professional Credentials

Full professional registration with GMC, NMC or HCPC Experience

Strong understanding of Urgent Care, General Practice or Integrated healthcare setting, with knowledge of essential healthcare legislation, compliance (CQC), data protection and safeguarding Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
