Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting thorough assessments of patients’ health conditions and medical history. Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised care plans. Prescribing medications and treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with clinical guidelines. Monitoring the effectiveness of prescribed treatments and making necessary adjustments. Providing patients with comprehensive information about their medications, including potential side effects and interactions. Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure cohesive patient care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Educating and supporting patients in managing their health conditions and medications. Staying informed about the latest developments in pharmacology, prescribing practices, and healthcare regulations. Requirements: A relevant professional qualification (e.g., registered nurse, pharmacist) with additional training and certification as a Non-Medical Prescriber. Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., NMC, GPhC). Proven experience in a clinical setting, with experience in prescribing medications. In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, prescribing practices, and relevant healthcare regulations. Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
